February 05, 2010: The illustrations, colorful pages, and the story with lessons proved to be a perfect gift for my 3 and 1/2 year old granddaughter. We laughed and learned together while reading aloud. This is a definite rereadable book for bedtime. I recommend this book for young children and not so old grandparents.

January 16, 2010: This was the first thing I bought after finding out I was going to be a Grandmother...it was an accidental find at the store I was working in at the time, and I loved the illustrations and story!! Now, my nearly 2 year old grandson absolutely loves it! I have since added to his collection with more books by this author and intend to continue until he has them all. Jane Yolen and Mark Teague make a great team and they have two more fans!!
