A secret teacher party is happening in the library, but who is the party for? Harry and Doug plan to find out, but when they discover Harry's pet cat, Googer, skulking around their classroom, they have to catch him before anyone else does! They chase The Goog all over school--even into places students (and cats) aren't allowed. Will the boys capture The Goog without being caught themselves? Or will Harry's cat get him into the most horrible trouble ever?
About the Author: Suzy Kline lives in West Willington, Connecticut. Frank Remkiewicz lives in Sarasota, Florida.
Goog the cat is a beloved pet, even though he is older, has lost an eye, and walks with a limp after a dumpster accident. Harry, the cat's owner, is surprised to see Goog come to his school one day, hitchhiking a ride in his Grandma's truck. Harry and his friend Doug give chase and have a merry romp through many rooms in their school where they have never been allowed before. Places like the Teachers Lounge, the Basement where the custodian's workshop is located, have always been out of their reach before. They do finally catch Goog and find their Grandma in the school library, where she has just delivered a cake for a party. New readers will enjoy the simple mystery involved in this story and the characters, which are a bit out of the ordinary. This is part of the "Horrible Harry" series. 2005, Viking/Penguin Group, Ages 6 to 9.
