February 23, 2008: This is a book that should be on every homeschooler's shelf. No matter your teaching style, this book will benefit you. I'm more of a classical/unity study teacher and I find this book to be a bit of a compass for me, even though it suggests certain history and science topics per grade level. I recommend this book to all my friends--I wish I had this when I first started homeshooling!

June 14, 2004: Simply put, if you are teaching your children this book is a must have! I orginally checked it out of the library but wanted to reference it so often I soon ordered my own. A well-reasoned insightful look at where most kids are in the American graded system of schools. Much more open minded and helpful then the What Your X Grader...series.
