April 04, 2004: Words are incapable of expressing how fascinating this book is. The information is delivered in an exciting, refreshing, and easy-follow-way. It is an incredible, amazing story of how the slaves used pure genius to flee from bondage to freedom.

November 14, 2003: I liked this book because it was full of wonderful positive history. It helped me to understand that the slaves weren't as dumb as they have been portrayed in other endeavors. Reading this book was an eye opening experience.
