    Synopsis

Assistant D.A. Savannah Smith, her jealous sister Susan, and society wife Megan Vandermeer are old friends - and sometimes bitter rivals. Then one horrifying night, Megan is kidnapped. Now, Savannah and Susan must move beyond the secrets and mistrust that have stood between them for years and team up to find their friend.

While following a dangerous trail filled with lies and deception, the sisters find themselves mesmerized by two charismatic men. One is Jared Snow, the radio star with the voice Savannah cannot resist. The other is Sam Craig, the tough detective whose rugged sensuality Susan cannot deny.

Shocking revelations will force each woman to reassess her life...and how far she is willing to go for the man she loves.

    Annotation

In this sensual contemporary romance, an beautiful attorney meets a late-night disc jockey while working on a kidnapping case.

    Library Journal

Sandra Burr breaks from her director role to read one of Delinsky's first forays from category romance. Though slightly dated, the recipe still works: several hot heroes, like late night radio DJ Jared Snow and macho detective Sam Craig, and worthy heroines in twins Savannah and Susan Smith. Savannah is from old money but works as a state's attorney; Susan is a society divorc e with something to prove. The heartfelt mission? Rescue their kidnapped childhood friend, Megan. Burr does this story justice: Jared's voice is smooth, with undertones of sexual invitation; Sam is all male but not stupid with it; and the twins are obviously individual people. Savannah has control, focus, and direction, while Susan is edgy and high-strung but loyal. This is a solid combination of story and narrator. Public libraries should purchase.-Jodi L.
