Harry is a white dog with black spots who loves everything . . . except baths. So one day before bath time, Harry runs away. He plays outside all day long, digging and sliding in everything from garden soil to pavement tar. By the time he returns home, Harry is so dirty he looks like a black dog with white spots. His family doesn't even recognize him!
When a white dog with black spots runs away from home, he gets so dirty his family doesn't recognize him as a black dog with white spots.
Harry is sure to be loved; especially by those pre-school children to whom dirt is an ever-delightful thing.

October 19, 2008: Harry is ornery and hates baths. He gets so dirty, his family doesn't recognize him. Dilemma... for them to recognize him, Harry must take a bath!!!! Warm and wonderful story and lesson book.

September 11, 2007: A dog isn't recognized after becoming so dirty since he hates baths. A good metaphor for a child who is bad since his mom and dad may not recognize him/her from his/her behavior. A very funny book that prooves a point to kids.
