    Synopsis

This personal and in-depth look at the dizzying pop-cultural phenomenon surrounding the Harry Potter series is written by the webmistress of the most popular and most trusted Harry Potter fan site on the Internet.

Terry Ann Lawler - Library Journal

Anelli, webmistress of the wildly popular Harry Potter fan site The-Leaky-Cauldron.org, here tells the complete story of the Potter phenomenon, investigating such aspects of the Potter world as the musical movement Wizard Rock, the "cracking" of the New York Times best sellers list, and the support fans gave one another in the aftermath of 9/11. Read with feeling by Renée Raudman (A Weekend To Change Your Life), who moves the story flawlessly along with her distinct characterization, and with a foreword by J.K. Rowling. For Potter fans of all ages. [Audio clip available through www.tantor.com; the Pocket pb was recommended as "a worthwhile purchase" for "all libraries serving Potter fans," LJ1/09.—Ed.]—Terry Ann Lawler, Phoenix P.L.

September 12, 2009: A great sutobiography about Melissa who learned to LOVE the J. K Rowling series and found herself wrapped up in the analysis, excitement, and thrills of the books, the author, and the internet. I understood the tranformation of her interests and found myself a bit jealous that my obsession had not reached the heights as her did with the travel, intereviews, and working wiht the Leaky Cauldron web site. A must read of any TRUE Harry Potter (maniac) fan!
