May 31, 2009: If you are truly committed to starting a healthy and & mindful lifestyle, than this series is an absolute must. The Stress Reduction program (MBSR) designed by Jon Kabat-Zinn is revolutionary. These meditations are scholarly, compassionate, and purposeful. If it feels overwhelming to start something like this by yourself, I encourage you to seek out an MBSR training class in your area, and/or read about Jon's MBSR course in his book "Full Catastrophe Living". This program has helped me tremendously to better deal with my bouts of depression, and with daily stress. Mindful meditation practice is central to my life now. Be well!

March 16, 2009: While the author is well versed and very knowledgeable in the subject and content area, the length of the meditations are a bit long to put into effective and practical use on a daily basis. Other meditations around 30 minutes from start to finish can be quite effective, particularly for the busy professional working it into a noon break. Most meditations were in excess of 40 minutes and are better for the weekends.
