A devotional companion offering comfort, the reassurance of Gods presence, and strength for the journey through grief to healing for those who have lost a child through miscarriage, tubal pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death.
Now and then the joyous anticipation of a child's birth transforms into the disappointment and grief of a miscarriage, tubal pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death. Having experienced three miscarriages and the death of an infant son, Kathe Wunnenberg well knows the pervasive and enduring anguish of losing a child. A compendium of thematically appropriate devotions, Grieving The Child I Never Knew arose from her personal journey through sorrow and her desire to offer other parents in her place a wise and tender companion when their hearts have been broken, their dreams abruptly terminated, and their aspirations disrupted by the loss of a child. Each devotion includes a passage of scripture, a prayer, "Steps Toward Healing" questions, and a space for journaling. There are also comforting readings for holidays and special occasions. If you, or someone you know, is suffering the grief of a lost child, then Grieving The Child I Never Knew can be a means toward acquiring comfort, solace, acceptance, and hope.

My only source of comfort after a miscarriage
A.C.D., A reviewer, 05/30/2007
When I miscarried at 12 weeks after my first IVF cycle, this book was my lifeline and only comfort. The author completely understands this type of loss, having experienced many miscarriages and a stillbirth herself. I found myself underlining entire chapters, and using the prayers she provided at the end of each devotional when I could not pray on my own. I felt like I had a friend in this book at a time when I never felt more alone.
Best book out there
A reviewer, A reviewer, 04/04/2006
This book is the best book out there that deals with the heartache of losing an unborn child. It really saved me from a life of depression, and helped me thru a very dark time. I would recommend this book to any and everyone who has experianced this kind of loss.
