October 27, 2001: A true story of love, courage and the principles that ruled the day. When two sisters fall in love with the same boy, they both feel sure they'll win his heart, without losing each other. Set in the late Victorian era, the story moves the reader from a tiny island of the coast of Britain to the jungles of New Zealand. The twists and adventures that their lives take, and the horrible mistake the boy makes as a man, teach them all the true meaning of love. 'A threefold chord shall not be broken.' This book was originally published in 1944. I read it as a young girl when a copy was given me by my great-grandmother. Loved it then, still love it 40 years later. A great read for a young girl. Am definitely going to order a copy for my nieces. So glad to see it back in print. Thank You!
