February 07, 2004: Not only are Great Pyrenees wonderful working dogs, but they're also one of the most gentle breeds I've ever encountered. You never have to worry about them jumping up at people from over-excitement and they're very patient and gentle with children. I've owned two Great Pyrenees and they were both great companions. Lovable, interesting, with funny personalities and they provided a sense of security as well.
