Christine Barnes is the author of a series of books showcasing the great lodges found within the public lands of the United States and Canada. Great Lodges of the West, 1998 winner of the Benjamin Franklin Best History Award, Great Lodges of the Canadian Rockies (2000), and Great Lodges of the National Parks (2002), along with individual books on Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park, El Tovar and Hopi House in Grand Canyon National Park, and now Great Lodges of the National Parks, Volume Two expand on the story of these buildings and parks.

Biography

A freelance writer & editor of quiltmaking & home-decorating books. She holds degrees in both design & journalism. Christine prints fabric, stitches contemporary & Crazy Quilts, & teaches classes in Crazy quilting & color theory for quilters.

Pflughoft began his professional photography career in 1988. His full-color photography appears regularly in both regional and national publications, as well as on postcards and calendars. He has more than 2 dozen books in print.
