Meet Gossie and Gertie. They are two goslings who are best friends. Gossie wears her signature bright red boots and her smaller friend Gertie wears similar blue boots. Each page shows something that the gosling friends do together. They splash in the rain, play hide and seek in the daisies, and dive in the pond. Gossie turns out to be a bit bossy insisting, "Follow me!" as she marches through the barn and sneaks up on the sheep. Soon, Gertie stops following. This makes Gossie mad, but little Gertie continues to follow her own whims and soon Gossie is following her. The simple, bright watercolor illustrations are delightful and sweet. The small format of this board book makes it an easy book to hold, especially while snuggling a toddler in your lap and reading over his or her head.
