(Paperback - New Edition)
Many people experience grief as the result of loss. This book describes what happens to us whenever we lose someone or something important. We all need a better understanding of the small griefs in life as well as those larger grief experiences that can overwhelm us. Here is a volume to be kept close at hand. It can be used over the years as you encounter a wide variety of grief experiences or as you assist friends in moving beyond grief to good grief.

April 03, 2008: This book was recommended to me after my grandmother's passing in 2007. I only wish I had known about it when I experienced my grandfather's passing in 1992! There are all types of grief, different ways of experiencing it, and this book wonderfully covers the topic of grief in an easy to understand way. I have ordered extra copies to have on hand and I send them along with sympathy cards. Many have thanked me and I will continue to share this book.

March 03, 2005: Good Grief has stood the test of time because it is a wonderful, quick, easy read for those who are going through terribly difficult times. The most valuable thing about it, in my opinion, is how it explains the stages of the grief process. It helps the reader know that they are not alone during dark times and that the emotions they experience are completely normal. As a pastor, I have given this book to many people who are dealing with death and divorce. I highly recommend it.
