November 11, 2009: Inspired by Thomas Paine? You cannot be serious! Paine was a freethinker, an enemy of controlled thought, a believer in freedom, and the antithesis of what Glenn Beck is. It is an abomination for Beck to claim any relation to him. Furthermore, does Beck realize that Paine was damned by conservatives as "that miserable atheist"? His book "The Age of Reason" was anti-ecclesiastical, and his god was the god of nature and wisdom, not of mystery. Beck is simply an opportunist.
