May 28, 2008: When I first read the excerpt in my Roald Dahl Treasury Book, I knew I had to find the whole story, and I did. I absolutely loved it. George?s Marvelous Medicine is about a young boy who never enjoyed staying with his grandmother when his parents were away. She was always was either nagging on him about not getting her medicine to her on time, or complaining of every little thing she could think of. One day George couldn?t take it any more, so he decided to make a medicine that would make her regret anything she had ever done to him. But it wasn?t any ordinary over the counter medicine it was a kind like none before. Once it was finished he gave her the medicine. She drank it and then all of a sudden?.. So, you actually thought I was going to tell you what happened? You?re going to have to read the book yourself to figure that one out. If you get the book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
