At this school, everyone's a geek. And Miranda Bloom still can't fit in...
Miranda is a math genius with divorced parents, an evil stepmother, and no boyfriend in sight. She can't even fit in with the other geeks at the Nottingham Independent School for high-IQ students, because they actually have useful talents. Miranda, on the other hand, is known as "The Human Calculator," which doesn't amount to much when people have, you know, their own calculators.
Then Miranda gets stuck planning the school's Snowflake Gala. And as she struggles to find a date and drum up some school spirit at Nottingham-aka "Geek High"-she finds that who you are means more than where you fit in.
Piper Banks is a lawyer turned writer and the author of four adult novels. Geek High is her first YA book. She lives in Florida with her husband and son. Author websites: piperbanks.com and geekhigh.com

February 21, 2009: Geek High disappointed me greatly, with the chilidish views of the main character, and lacking story plot.
Girl likes guy, girl is invisible to guy, etc etc. When I was reading the book, I could have SWORN I had read the book before, with the great sense of Deja Vu I got...When I realized that the plot is so cliche and overused, that reading the scenerio in a million other books was just bugging me.This book had a main character who expressed her lack of common sense (in the teen world today), that I could've sworn that the author was five years old. There are also A LOT of typos that should have been caught by editors of the book. This is NOT a recommended book to read!!
