September 12, 2004: Even if you don't work around criminals, this book will point out how people set you up for compromise/manipulation. However, this book is a must-read for anyone who works in a prison or corrections environment. While the writing isn't exactly sophisticated, the information is priceless. Read it before you begin working with criminals, and re-read it every year. The first time you say, 'It won't happen to me...' you need to read it again!

March 21, 2002: This is an excellent piece of work. This book helped me to fully understand the mindset of some criminals in prison. It details how far an inmate would go to get what he/she wants;it touches on important information to be aware of as you work or interact with inmates. As a senior counselor in a correctional facility then and a Ph.D. level practitioner now, it is my hope that ALL persons who work in any locked-up and or correctional facility should read this book. I have recommended it and I would continue to do so.
