    Synopsis

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It's winter break at St. Vladimir's, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy's crawling with Guardians—including Rose's hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if handto- hand combat with her mom wasn't bad enough, Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason's got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks....This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price...

Fast becoming one of my most favorite series!by Anonymous

December 17, 2009: I absolutely love this series. As with the first book, Frostbite never had a boring moment. Mead does a wonderful job of keeping things interesting throughout. I grew to love these characters in Vampire Academy and Frostbite solidified the admiration even more. Rose was a total badass in the first book and she still stays true to that title. Mead does a good job making her more realistic in Frostbite by revealing some of her flaws and her age/immaturity (not that she's immature for her age). However, I believe her flaws only add to the greatness of this series and by no means does it take away from it. Once again, Mead left me with an eagerness to know what happens next. I'm eager to get started on Shadow Kiss. I stand by my initial evaluation of Vampire Academy: this series has something for everyone.love, romance, action, and thrills.

December 16, 2009: i'm really getting sick and tired of people saying this book is a knock off of TWILIGHT!!! personally i read the first chapter of TWILIGHT and had to stop!!!! vampire academy is more realistic and true and Rose never sugar coats what she's thinking!!! this series makes you feel like the characters because they go throught the same thing we do( teenagers)... PLEASE READ THIS BOOK AND NOT TWILIGHT!!!(and i love how the vampires in this book don't sparkle when they go in the sunlight)=)
