September 05, 2009: The book provides an understanding of the complex music theory behind the playing of the guitar. For those who have suffered countless music lessons at the hands of instructors who could not truly explain why you were being taught the way you were playing the guitar or answer some of your more difficult questions, fret board logic does truly answer those questions. It explains the why in how to play the guitar! I recommend this to all of those who need to understand the theory behind great guitar playing.

July 12, 2009: The book can be a bit overwhelming to the new guitar player but is a great reference, especially for those with 1-2 years experience. The 5 basic chords forms are explained, the CAGED sequence of chords, barre chords and movable chord forms, lead patterns, and more. What I really appreciate as someone who have been playing for less than a year is section two which explains, triads, seventh chords, augmented and dominant chords, modes, arpeggios and more. Great book for learning for the beginner and a great reference for the experienced player. Many nice diagrams included.

I Also Recommend: Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 2, Music Theory for Guitarists, Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1.
