    Synopsis

This collection includes four endearing favorites, Bedtime for Frances; A Baby Sister for Frances; Bread and Jam for Frances; and A Birthday for Frances. Children will cheer for Frances as she cleverly avoids her bedtime, stubbornly refuses to eat anything but bread and jam, and struggles not to eat the tempting, chocolatey birthday present she has just bought for her younger sister, Gloria. These reassuring and funny stories are just right for those amazing days of childhood!

    Biography

Russell Hoban has written many books for children, including seven about the ever-popular badger, Frances.

I am 36 and expecting our first child in January and I cannot wait to play these wonderful fun-loving books that I remember so vividly enjoying as a child. I was so thrilled to find the audio book here. My brother and I of course had the cassette tape of these bookas as well as the soft cover and still today laugh and talk of the memories of Francis her little sister Gloria and all of her friends getting in to mischeif. My favorite is when Frances gets upset and runs away from home under the dinning room table! Also the alphatbet song she composess'...S is for skateboard, T is for tigger, U is for underwear down in the dryer...' The narrator has a cozy and inviting voice with a British accent that somehow makes you enjoy the story even more.
