Flashy's back in his raunchiest romp yet. Victorian England's swashbuckling scoundrel, wrenched from contemplation of indecent intentions, stumbles into the middle of an Indian mutiny as a secret agent extraordinaire.
Flash cowers, sidestep, eludes and outwits spies, thugs and hordes of mutineers. But a greater challenge blocks his path--the voluptuous Princess Lakshmibai, with an amorous appetite more voracious than his own.
"Ripe ribaldry and rowdy hedonism." (Kirkus Reviews)
One of literature's most delightful rakes is back in another tale of rollicking adventure and tantalizing seduction. The plucky Flashman's latest escapades are sure to entertain devotees as well as attract new aficionados.

December 28, 2000: Like all of Fraser's 'Flashman' books, this one can be read by itself, but is always more enjoyable when you've read the other books in the series. Quintessential Harry Flashman: Our poor (but not-to-be-pitied) hero continues to go from frying pan to fire, again and again and again. One of the most gripping and harrowing installments in the series, and also one of the most rewarding as far as the development of the Flashman character. But never fear! Old Flashy most certainly does not grow out of his wicked and self-centered ways! Exotic locals, beautiful women, and more bloodshed than would be believable if it were not based on historical events.
