Fraud, coward, liar, scoundrel, adulterer, and first class cad -- was there ever a more enjoyable character to hear recount his many adventures and misadventures?! Packed with action. The accuracy of time and place should satisfy the most demanding afficianado of historical fiction, while the humor -- both high and low -- should appeal to anyone with a wicked and sardonic streak.
