5 STAR DOODY'S REVIEW!
"This is the BEST edition of Fitzpatrick's Dermatology in General Medicine. Every chapter has been completely rewritten and updated; many new chapters cover new topics such as atypical melanocytic nevi, oncogenes, and epidemiology; and therapy, which in previous editions was not extensively covered, now has over 300 pages devoted to therapeutics, surgery, and laser. Clinical color photographs and microscopic color photographs of histology appear in every chapter, a big improvement over the older editions that had black-and-white pictures. Everyone needs to own a copy of this superb seventh edition....This is an outstanding book and if you have only one dermatology book, this is the one. You should beg, borrow, or sell apples on the street to buy it. It is the BEST!"--Doody's Review Service

Description:This is the BEST edition of Fitzpatrick's Dermatology in General Medicine. Everyone needs to own a copy of this superb seventh edition.
Purpose:It is intended to be the most comprehensive, accurate, and useful authoritative textbook in dermatology.
Audience:The audience is all medical students, aspiring dermatologists, and dermatologists.
Features:This is the first book that clearly describes the details of the clinical differences among the entities listed in the differential diagnosis lists. This is very helpful for students learning how to differentiate, for example, between guttate psoriasis, pityriasis rosea, tinea versicolor, etc. Because of the abundance of information, the authors have included a special symbol in these sections to indicate readers can go to a web site for the online version for additional information. The same is true of the references, as not all could be listed in the book. Even though it seems everything has gotten more complicated, the new edition actually makes it easier to understand the material than its predecessors. The color diagramsoutlining mechanisms of action are very good.
Assessment:This is an outstanding book and if you have only one dermatology book, this is the one. You should beg, borrow, or sell apples on the street to buy it. It is the BEST!
