Biography

Howard J. Markman, Ph.D., is internationally known for his work on divorce prevention. He is professor of psychology and codirector of the Center for Marital and Family Studies at the University of Denver.
Scott M. Stanley, Ph.D., is a noted expert on marriage and commitment, and is codirector of the Center for Marital and Family Studies at the University of Denver. He has coauthored A Lasting Promise, the Christian version of this book.
Susan L. Blumberg, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and director of Interpersonal Communication Options. She specializes in helping families and couples revitalize their relationships.

March 21, 2007: Before my wife and I got married we had some really bad issues. a counselor I was seeing to help me with depression recommended this book to us.. After reading it we got married and are still married.. it will be 6 years this may..I credit much of our success on the book.

May 26, 2006: A real go getter of a book. Lots of things to meditate on. It isn't something to just speed read! Getting to root problems in any relationship can be understood in another book titled 'why singles are not married & the married are single' Another excellent writing with deep insights and gender reconcilliation.
