    Synopsis

John Ortberg demonstrates how doubt is very much a part of faith and how uncertainty can lead to trust. “The beliefs that really matter,” he writes, “are the ones that guide our behavior.” We all hope, Ortberg writes, but we cannot hope without faith, and so we must not hope for something but someone?Jesus Christ.

August 30, 2009: I found Faith and Doubt to be a very enjoyable read. John Ortberg has answered questions that every person of faith struggles with. I have read this book cover to cover twice, and will continue to read it because I find new answers each time I do.

A Great Read for all Christiansby Anonymous

June 14, 2009: John Ortberg has an easy, plain-speaking style that really allows the reader to feel as if they are in a conversation with him. This book approaches doubt as if it is a natural and necessary part of faith. The only drawback I found with the book is there were no practical application exercises or journaling questions throughout the chapters. Mr. Ortberg's other books were a great read and helped you apply the new insights through exercises and questions.

However, it's definitely a must read, especially for anyone who ever had a period of doubt.

I Also Recommend: The Life You've Always Wanted.
