October 02, 2009: My husband and I carried this book everywhere we went in London. There is so much to see and do in that city, that having an Eyewitness Travel guide is a MUST. You may make lots of plans before you arrive, but it is doubtful you'll really have time for everything. This book helped us prioritize what we really wanted to see.

July 25, 2009: This is the one guide you need to carry around with you in London to get the most out of your time to explore. With subway maps, street maps, illustrations of key sights to see, and brief, factual accounts of these sights, this book was the definitive guide. If you're not familiar with the Eyewitness series, this is the perfect start. The only area that is not comprehensive is the hotel and restaurant section -- use another source for that information since this one just lists a few. Organized by areas of the city, this guide allowed us to progress through London with the ability to plan for efficiency but allow for plenty of spontaneity and discovery.
