Synopsis

In the second book of Beth Killian's juicy 310 series, Hollywood newcomer Eva Cordes starts to unravel her family's dark secrets -- and creates some scandals of her own.

Aspiring actress Eva feels like she's finally on her way to the big time -- she's got new friends, a new life, and a starring role in a hot new commercial. And with Valentine's Day fast approaching, she's determined to finally "seal the deal" with her new boyfriend, Danny. But all her plans turn inside out when someone from her past shows up at her doorstep -- with an engagement ring!?!

Eva swears the only guy she wants to be with is Danny, but he's starting to have doubts. So when she finds out the shocking truth about her father's identity, she has no one to turn to -- the guys are at each other's throats and her roommates are having a major catfight of their own.

Eva is about to make some tough choices...and if she's not careful, she may make the biggest mistake of her life.

Holley Wiseman - KLIATT

Eva Cordes is desperately trying to make it in the Hollywood modeling scene and with her hot boyfriend Danny. She is a virgin living with two vixen-like roommates who are constantly on the prowl to "hook-up" Eva and Danny. Maybe Eva still isn't ready to be intimate with Danny, and when her high school boyfriend from Massachusetts shows up unexpectedly, she realizes this. Add that struggle to her search for the identity of her father, dead since she was an infant, her relationship with her high-powered, model agency-owning aunt, and her absentee, former jet-setting model mother, and you get one confused young woman. Eva's identity struggle stands out among her friends' fascinations with shopping, staying thin, and attending Hollywood events, and culminates in an unexpected, life-altering surprise. Second in the 310 series, Beth Killian's story plows through young Hollywood like a hot knife through butter. She covers absentee parents alongside manipulative and controlling ones, and struggles with food, weight, money, and personal choices. While reading, I couldn't help thinking I was in the middle of a reality series so popular now on MTV. KLIATT Codes: S--Recommended for senior high school students. 2006, Simon & Schuster, MTV, 226p., $9.99.. Ages 15 to 18.

October 28, 2008: The second book in Beth Killian's THE 310 series, EVERYTHING SHE WANTS, will live up to the expectations of readers who loved book number one! Eva is back in this fun new book, and her life is still as entertainingly and unrealistically dramatic as a made-for-TV movie. Eva is still trying to figure out her family (this time she's finding out more about her father), for one thing. For another, she's got boy trouble, just like any teenage girl!

She thought she'd be happy with Danny, but things just aren't working out like Eva would have hoped. Why? Jeff, her best friend from high school, has shown up unexpectedly on Eva's doorstep. He's got some big plans that Eva does not want to be part of. He's got an engagement ring for Eva, and can't seem to understand why she keeps saying no! As is to be expected, this puts some stress on her relationship with Danny.

If that was not enough, Eva and her roommates, Coelle and Jacinda, are having some problems as well. The three of them were just starting to actually be friends--but life in Hollywood is always dramatic, and this time the drama is invading their almost-harmonious home.

Readers of LIFE AS A POSER will love this novel. It's highly recommended to have read LIFE AS A POSER before picking up EVERYTHING SHE WANTS, its equally entertaining and fun sequel. The fabulous characters readers met in the first book in THE 310 series are back, and the drama is just as good as before! Beth Killian has again created a fantastic story about life in Hollywood that readers won't be able to put down!
