January 22, 2008: Flint is a mind-bending and compelling Western epic or 'Frontier novel'. It is about a man who loses his identity to save himself and others. Flint is an allegory and the characters, places and events stand for themes and motifs. The novel instills hope because the title character overcomes cancer to save himself and his friends. He always thinks of other first and even his enemies respect him.
