March 13, 2006: It was a dark night in Warsaw, Poland in 1942 when one of the darkest moments in the Balicki Family occurred. The kids Mom and Dad were both taken away by Nazi Storm Troopers. This makes the 3 children alone in a war-struck city. But one day, a boy named Jan, shows the children a long lost memory, a silver sword, the exact one they gave their Dad before he was taken away. This sends the children off to Switzerland in great hope of rescuing their parents. Encountering tough weather, harsh sickness, and grim soldiers, the only thing they focus on is finding their long lost parents. I really enjoyed this book because it had a good plot, great action, and a meaningful moral. I think the author created a good plot because it really gets the readers attention and this plot is great for an action book with the text luring the reader into the next chapter. I like the action because it really got you trembling with anxiety, even if you aren?t actually in the book. Finally, I especially liked the moral because it gives out a good message on never giving up and always having determination.
