October 10, 2009: My mom is an excellent cook and gardener. At age 84 she's also undergoing chemotherapy for a second round of cancer. I also bought her the Betty Crocker cancer cooking book, which is also good, but my mom strongly favors this book and refers to it very often. This book is well organized, breaking down what foods are best tolerated and liked at the various stages of chemotherapy. What's more, the authors do not try to be trendy, understanding the need for 'regular' foods. The book has lots of suggestions and easily prepared recipes. Anyway, since it's the favorite book of someone who is both a great cook and a cancer patient, I recommend it strongly.
