    Synopsis

Jennifer Graham, the no-nonsense chief of staff for a Virginia senator, quits her job after her divorce and finds herself an unemployed single mom. Learning that she has inherited a funeral home, Jennifer journeys to a small Florida town with her two sons and mother, never dreaming that within a mortuary she will uncover mysteries of love and life.

    Tamara Butler - Library Journal

When Jennifer Graham learns she has inherited real estate in Florida, she never imagines it is a funeral home, especially one in need of so much repair. Thomas, Jennifer's husband, recently left her for their nanny, and she is at a crossroads in her life. A newly single parent with two boys, she sets off to settle her uncle's estate and sell the Fairlawn Funeral Home, but things don't go so smoothly, and Jennifer may find that this new life God has thrust upon her may be the answer to her prayers. Award winner Hunt's latest book (after The Elevator) is a topnotch inspirational tale that maintains a lighthearted touch. Anyone who has had to rebuild a life after an unexpected loss will appreciate the honesty of Hunt's characters and uplifting plot. Highly recommended for CF and women's fiction collections.

Inspiring... Angela does it again!by Anonymous

July 29, 2008: This is the second of Angela Hunt's books I've read. Her books are set in Central Florida, which is where I live. It is like reading about home and family. Actually I moved to Florida very unadvisedly and found Jen to be inspiring in the way she came to handle her new hometown. It took me longer, but I experienced many of the same emotions described. This book helped me look at my own situation from a different angle.

July 28, 2008: My nephew and his wife lived in a funeral home for the first few years of their marriage. His wife worked at the home during the day and they were 'on call' during the evening hours. So I found the setting intriguing. Angela keep me spell bound through all the challenging relationships Jen has with her ex-husband, her mother, her two sons, and most important, her relationship with God. This is the second 'Angela Hunt' novel I've read, but it won't be my last.
