If you love woody ornamental plants, you'll love this book.
M. A. Boyle, A reviewer, 03/10/2000
Michael Dirr may be considered by some to be opinionated in his choice of woody ornamental plants, however in this book he highlights many great plants that warrant much more merit than they receive in the nursery trade, and that are deserving of more exposure in the industry. Overall, Michael Dirr makes you fall in love over and over agin with many woody ornamentals every time you read the book.
