      Synopsis

There's a place along Interstate 50 that some call the loneliest place on Earth. It's known as Desperation, Nevada. It's not a very nice place to live. It's an even worse place to die. Let the battle against evil begin.

      Biography

Few authors have tapped into our secret fears as adeptly as Stephen King, Master of the Macabre and one of the most widely read novelists writing today. With his trademark blend of fantasy, horror, and psychological suspense, this prolific and immensely popular contemporary writer continues to remind us that evil is still a potent force in the world.

December 19, 2009: The first half of this book is so intense and terrifying you won't be able to put it down once you begin. Unfortunately, King cannot keep this high intensity going and the book slows in the second half. Still a very enjoyable and scary read.
