      September 01, 2009: A beautifully illustrated book, but does not deal with technical aspects of design, such as proper fit-- armhole length, necklines, sleeves-raglan, kimono etc. How does one insure that the finished sweater fits well based on body measurements? This is not addressed. Not enough guidance for me. Suggestions given are to use a pattern the reader likes and modify it. Discussion about color and texture presented. I thought it would describe and guide the knitter through a design project. There are instructions for knitting projects--sweaters, jackets, but difficult for an intermediate knitter. Not very happy about this book.
