October 26, 2008: Like the rest of the horus heresy books this one is just as good although it lacks what youve come to expect from the series. Astartes vs Astartes battles. It is mostly a book that sets the base for a book that should be released after Horus is killed and the Dark Angels Primarch returns to Caliban.
I Also Recommend: Horus Rising, Horus Heresy, Book 1, False Gods, Horus Heresy, Book 2, Galaxy in Flames, Horus Heresy, Book 3, Flight of the Eisenstein, Horus Heresy, Book 4, Fulgrim.

September 27, 2008: This book will have one and only one saving grace. If there is to be a follow up to this book then it was worth reading. If not then I'm going to use it to prop up an uneven table, and suggest fans of the heresy series to look elsewhere for reading material. The book was long, drawn out and had absolutely nothing to do the the heresy. If you want dark angels history and background then by all means read it. If not then don't waste your time.
