June 21, 2009: Lawrence Solomon admits on page 45 of this book that none of the scientists in his book really deny global warming. But when he goes around the country giving speeches, he never mentions that fact. He was backed by CEI, and if you Google Solomon, you will find a photo of him standing in front of a CEI podium. TURNS OUT, BOTH SOLOMON AND CEI HAVE BEEN SO DISCREDITED, THAT EXXON STOPPED PAYING THEM. I learned that in my research. You can find it, too.
Sorry, but this book is a lie and a fraud, and if you do any research into the author, CEI, or any of the other organizations who call themselves Global Warming Deniers, you will find that they are all on Exxon's payroll. There are a lot of people in this country who get paid big bucks by big corporations to spread lies, propaganda, anger and hatred, so the big corporations can keep making their own big bucks. Add this author to that list. Save your money, and don't buy this garbage.Reader Rating:

June 05, 2009: Having already researched a considerable amount of information on the topic of climate change and global warming, I found this book still useful and enjoyable. For those that are unfamiliar with the "other side" of the debate (yes, it is still debated), this book will provide you with a synopsis of what the controversy is about, why, and by whom. Readers who are well-versed in the topic will find numerous tidbits of information not generally available in articles and papers, as well as a considerable number of reference sources to follow in continuing to educate oneself.
Whether you are in agreement with anthropogenic causes of global warming or opposed, this book is a useful primer on the major topics of debate.
