    Synopsis

The story revolves around the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how he failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, his sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the "American Dream" kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. A thrilling work of deep and revealing beauty that remains one of the most profound classic dramas of the American theatre. "

Very depressing--in a good wayby Anonymous

January 11, 2006: Death of a Salesman is depressing, yes. However, it's depressing in a way that is good. I can't really explain it, unless you read it. Still, this is the greatest play ever written, and one of the greatest pieces of literature! Hooray!

Arguably the greatest American dramaby Anonymous

August 22, 2005: It's astonishing that any reviewer would say this play is boring, or give it less than five stars. 'Salesman' is the finest play by one of the theatre's great playwrights. The characters are unforgettable, the story is compelling, the dialog is brilliant. This is a play worth seeing -- and reading -- again and again.
