Description: Current primary care guidelines are laid out in figures and tables in this annual update.
Purpose: The stated purpose is to provide an easily accessible reference of up-to-date primary care guidelines. Guidelines do change with new literature and this is a most helpful guide. It also can be carried in one's pocket.
Audience: The audience includes everyone who cares for patients, be they primary care clinicians, students, or residents in training. The editors, well known academic clinicians, have done a wonderful job.
Features: This is essentially a book of figures, tables, and an index. If there is any shortcoming it is the font size which is necessarily small to accommodate the information. Perhaps an online version would be helpful.
Assessment: This is a valuable addition to every primary care clinician's personal library at a very reasonable price.
