Michelle Malkin is the author of three bestselling books, including the New York Times bestseller Invasion. She is the founder of two of the Internet's top conservative blogs, MichelleMalkin.com and HotAir.com. Malkin has worked in daily newspaper journalism since 1992, penned a nationally syndicated column for Creators Syndicate since 1999, and served as a FOX News Channel contributor since 2001. While working as an editorial writer/columnist for the Seattle Times, she won the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws (COGEL) national award for outstanding service for the cause of governmental ethics and leadership, and for investigative columns that exposed campaign finance abuses and corruption by Washington State Democrats, Republicans, and political organizations. After nearly a decade, Malkin escaped the Beltway swamp and now lives a much healthier, happier, uncorrupted life with her husband and two children in Colorado.

November 11, 2009: I've enjoyed Michelle Malkin in her appearances on Fox News so I decided to pick up this book. It's in no way a balanced presentation of Pres. Obama's candidacy/Presidency but then again, it doesn't pretend to be.

There is a ton of information presented here much of which, if you watch Fox News, you've seen before. However, it's presentation here is much more in depth and contains a lot more documentation in support of it's claims. What Michelle does well is taking the legs of the octopus and follow them back to show that they all connect to a central body...President Obama. She also shows (despite Obama's campaign statements) that the people that he has surrounded himself with are corrupt, dishonest, and nefarious. His nominations for cabinet posts virtually all have a track record of pay-for-play, tax concerns, or questionable associations with lobbyists. In other words, his campaign of change has become more of the same except worse.

What Michelle doesn't do well is...well...write. Her contentions are sometimes hard to track (perhaps this is because of the subject matter) and I frequently found my eyes glazing over with all the figures being thrown around. As the saying goes; "A billion here, a billion there and pretty soon your talking about some serious money!!" What I found most irritating though were the little asides she throws in every time she makes a point. They were unnecessary...we already know that she doesn't like or trust Obama.

Bottom line: I was glad I read the book, I was glad when I fininshed the book, and when I was finished, if you told me that Obama had run around naked on the floor of the Senate giving "wet-willys" to all the Senators, I wouldn't have been surprised.
