      April 23, 2004: This first novel grabbed my attention from the first lines and at the end I?m still interested?enough to wait for the second. I enjoyed Ms. Shields style, her grasp of character & development of her people and plot. She writes from the heart with an intensity and knowledge of a young person?s mind processes (all the poignant twists, turns, uncertainties of youth). So if you?re looking for a gripping, intelligent read?pick up ?The Creation? and enjoy!
