Running a small, rare bookstore in Winter Break, Kansas-a town so small they don't even have their own gas station-may sound peaceful. But Winter Break's eclectic citizens have their secrets. Ivy Tower s nose for mystery propels her into adventure and danger in this three-book collection of stories that will keep readers guessing until the very end!
Nancy Mehl's novels are all set in her home state of Kansas. "Although some people think of Kansas as nothing more than flat land and cattle, we really are quite interesting!" she says. Nancy is a mystery buff who loves the genre and is excited to see more inspirational mysteries becoming available to readers who share her passion. Her Barbour novel, "In the Dead of Winter," will combine two of her favorite things - mystery and snow. "Unfortunately, our past several winters have been pretty dry. I enjoy writing fiction because I can make it snow as much as I want!" Besides her writing, she is also a popular book reviewer. She has reviewed for The Charlotte Austin Review, MyShelf, Midwest Book Review, and The Wichita Eagle. Nancy works for the City of Wichita, assisting low-income seniors and the disabled. Her volunteer group, Wichita Homebound Outreach, seeks to demonstrate the love of God to special people who need to know that someone cares. She lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband of thirty-three years, Norman. Her son, Danny, is a graphic designer who has designed several of her book covers. They attend Word of Life Church.

January 12, 2009: Cozy in Kansas gives you three complete mysteries for the price of one. It features Ivy Towers who returns to Winter Break, Kansas to run her Aunt Bitty's Bygone Bookstore while she investigates Bitty's death with the help of Deputy Sheriff Amos Parker. The other two mysteries in this volume continue her investigations into other unusual deaths. Nancy Mehl combines humor, romance and many twists and turns in her mysteries. I highly recommend this book - had a hard time putting it down!! It makes a terrific gift.
I Also Recommend: The Tale of Hill Top Farm (Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter Series #1).

Three romance mysteries in one book.
In the Dead of Winter: an Ivy Towers Mystery (#1)
Ivy Towers returns to Winter Break after inheriting her Aunt Bitty?s bookstore. She suspects Bitty?s death was not an accident. With the help of Sheriff Amos Parker, Ivy searches for the killer.
Bye Bye Bertie: an Ivy Towers Mystery (#2)
A hidden map, Ruby?s missing son, and a visit to Ivy?s mother add up to an entertaining mystery. There is even a recipe for Ruby Bird?s Stuffed Berry French Toast.
For Whom The Wedding Bell Tolls: an Ivy Towers Mystery (#3)
The wedding day is quickly approaching, and Ivy has procrastinated on some important details?like buying a dress and planning a wedding. Ivy asks Dela to be her wedding coordinator and then the woman turns up dead.
I am now a fan of Nancy Mehl. She had me laughing aloud. Mehl has the unique talent for combining humor, mystery, and romance. Her novels are extremely entertaining. I have only one complaint. The print is very small; it is difficult to read. Rush out for your copy of Cozy In Kansas.
