March 23, 2000: This book is an extremely comprehensive high level introduction to everything Computer Music. The book is easy to read and given a presumed interest in computer music, very engaging. If you are looking for a general understanding of how all the technologies surrounding Computer Music work, this is your book! However if you are looking for a technical low level guide which gets into the detailed math and programming you will be disappointed.
