      March 30, 2009: After reading this book I walked away with a very small amount of what it had to offer. I learned only one of the openings it teaches when it offers ten. But I achieved an immense understanding of it for a player of my level and to this day am undefeated using the Sicilian Defense. As living proof, any chess player who reads this book is guarunteed to have an excellent start to to solid chess playing.

      November 01, 2008: I think this is the author william aramil's first book and i think its a very good chess book. rather than most my chess books, it does more than spits out moves, mr. aramil teaches you the moves and why they are played and the thought process behind the moves. i think this book is not known about much but the Complete Idiots Guide got lucky to get william aramil as an author. a very good book for improving
