January 04, 2004: I've been knitting for a quite a while, yet Abbey's book illuminated whole new dimensions to knitting for me. She emphasizes not only on the basics, which makes her book ideal for beginners and reteaching pros in a comprhensivemanner, but she teaches you how to become an independent knitter by supplying you with consise directions on every intricate and practical technique imaginable. I would also suggest going to another popular website for this book, where it is sold for five to six dollars less. The real advantage of the book is a compendium of over wonderful 200 stiches which are named and whose usefullness are thouroughly explained.
