Zero-in on exactly what you must know to pass the OMM section of the COMLEX with this unique student-to-student guide
"As a test preparation book, this is a distillation of the OMM concepts and techniques that are considered pertinent to the examination. This is a very worthy idea primarily because of the limited number of comprehensive textbooks in OMM....This is an important book for schools of osteopathic medicine. 3 Stars."Doody's Review Service

Features:
Reviewer: Vincent F Carr, DO, MSA, FACC, FACP(Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences)
Description: This is a summary preparation book for students who will be taking the osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) portion of the COMLEX examination. As a preparation, it describes the test and the grading system and how to efficiently prepare for the examination quite well.
Purpose: As a test preparation book, this is a distillation of the OMM concepts and techniques that are considered pertinent to the examination. This is a very worthy idea primarily because of the limited number of comprehensive textbooks in OMM.
Audience: "This has somewhat a limited audience, i.e. those preparing for the COMLEX, but the authors have collaborated to produce an interesting preparation book. "
Features: It begins with how to prepare for the test, followed by a concise listing of the basic concepts of OMM with typical questions and answers one might anticipate on the examination. Throughout the book, illustrative figures and tables summarize the items one must remember. The weak point comes in the black-and-white photographs of examination and treatment techniques that simply do not convey what the authors are attempting to describe.
Assessment: This is an important book for schools of osteopathic medicine.
