Synopsis

The perfect summer story of a girl, several boys, and a cruise ship full of possibilities.

Lindsay has never been on a cruise, but she knows exactly what she wants to do now that she is: climb a waterfall, snorkel, meet lots of cute guys, and look for one perfect guy for a summer fling.

But her to-do list isn't going according to plan, especially when she discovers that it's impossible to have a fling-when you're actually falling in love.

Annotation

On a Caribbean cruise, eighteen-year-old Lindsay's to-do list includes having a one night stand, but when her wealthy new stepfather introduces his gorgeous godson as her traveling buddy, things become complicated.

Sherri Ginsberg - KLIATT

Lindsay is accompanying her mother on a fantastic cruise ship voyage. Her mom is marrying a wealthy man on board and doesn't want to leave her only daughter behind. Lindsay's new step-dad has graciously provided her with a handsome, fun, young chaperone. Lindsay, however, has her own ideas of what she wants to accomplish on this cruise; and Ryan, albeit incredibly cute, is in the way. Lindsay is 18 years old, a recent high school graduate, and one of her items on her list is to sleep with a guy. She meets a guy who is a bit too wild—but she is on the cruise to have fun. The 10 days are spent scuba diving and cruising the Virgin Islands, Grand Cayman and the rest of the Caribbean. This "love boat story" with its beautiful ending will appeal to teenagers who want light reading. KLIATT Codes: S—Recommended for senior high school students. 2004, HarperCollins, 314p., Ages 15 to 18.
