      Synopsis

When we last saw George and Harold, they were about to take their pet pterodactyl Crackers back to the Cretaceous period. But things didn't work out quite as they had hoped. They've entered an absurd alternate reality where teachers are nice, kids are allowed to read banned books, and the cafeteria food doesn't smell like dirty diapers. Even worse, they've discovered alternate versions of themselves--Evil George and Evil Harold--who plan to unleash some preposterous plans on Piqua, Ohio. Now it's up to George and Harold to defeat the evil twins and THEIR superhero, Captain Blunderpants!

      Publishers Weekly

Fans can find out what's happening with their favorite series and characters this summer. A million-copy printing and one-day laydown (August 15) marks the eighth adventure of the notorious caped BVD crusader: Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People by Dav Pilkey. George and Harold's time-traveling Purple Potty transports them to a world populated by kind teachers and where students dine on gourmet cafeteria food. But things grow even more bizarre when Crackers and Sulu are petknapped from the heroes' locker by their evil twins. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

November 06, 2007: Captain Underpants is facing all of the villains in all of the books of the world. Harold and George have EVIL clones. Captain Underpants also has an EVIL clone. All of the villains are trying to fit in and look like normal people, but they can strike at anytime. This book reminds me of a time that my friend got in a fight with a lot of bullies. I went to tell the principal and the bullies went to detention. Can Captain Underpants stop them? To find out you have to read, read, read. Captain Underpants is funny because he is always fighting crime in his underpants. The book has lots of adventure and a lot of crime fighting. They also have a very strange pet in their tree house. I have been reading these books since 3rd grade. I really like all the descriptive words in all the books
