      Synopsis

Camille's byname refers to the camellias she would carry as a signal of her availabilty. She gives up her former way of life as a courtesan after falling in love with a young man. She soon returns to it rather than ruin his life by her association with him. This tale of love, passion and tragedy is an enduring one.

March 01, 2004: this book was fnatastic, and Alexandre Dumas fils proves himself to be just as good a writer as his father. A must for any romantic and for anyone who loved Moulin Rouge. A classic tragic love story. READ IT! p.s. if you haven't seen moulin rouge and love this book rent the movie, they're fantastically similar. OR if you loved Moulin rouge, read this book!
