This was a book that we had to read in school in 8th grade and I thought it was great! I always read like the first page of every school book and that was it, but this book was very interesting from the start. It was an excellent book!

The Cage is a wonderful book that will touch your heart and make you truly see what some victims of the Holocaust went through. Ruth Minsky Sender' sad story is (as I just wrote) sad, but it teaches a very important lesson- not to let go of hope.

The book Cage is about a girl named Riva'Ruth Minskey Sender' and how she survived the Holocaust. Some parts make you want to cry. Like when her daughter was crying because she saw her friends grandparents, it reminded her that she didnt have any because they were killed. But Im not going to tell you the rest. My favorite part in the book is when ever she or her mother said, 'As Long as there is Life there is Hope.' If you like this book then read her next book, 'To Life.'

I strongly recommend The Cage. It is a thrilling and historical book the plotline is thrilling and adventurous, because you never know what will happen next. This is also a historical book because it takes place during the Holocaust, when the Nazis-commanded by Adolf Hitler-invaded neighboring countries to annihilate the Jewish people. Filled with excitement, sadness, and love, The Cage is an autobiography about a girl who struggles to survive in a world turned upside-down by the Holocaust.
